Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience working in Fintech companies and will be proficient in PHP, SQL, Laravel, VueJS, and Cloudflare. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our backend infrastructure, ensuring high performance, and scalability

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend systems and applications using PHP and Laravel.
  • Write efficient, reusable, and testable code.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Manage and optimize databases using SQL.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Implement security and data protection measures.
  • Work with Cloudflare for enhanced security and performance.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a backend developer in Fintech companies.
  • Proficiency in PHP and Laravel framework.
  • Strong experience with SQL databases.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies, particularly VueJS.
  • Experience with Cloudflare for application security and performance.
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with Digital Ocean

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₦500,000.00 - ₦700,000.00 per month
