Job Summary:
Bridgemead Consulting is recruiting for the position of Senior Data Analyst. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be expected to utilise software to collate and covert raw data as well as analyse, mine and visualise said data to help the organisation make data-driven decisions. You will be expected to have a comprehensive view of the organisation’s data and use that data to drive change, eliminate inefficiencies and quickly adapt to market changes. To excel in this role, you are expected to use historical and current data to drive current and future business operations ensuring profit maximisation. Lastly, you are expected to be methodical and well-organised in your approach to work.

Key Responsibilities

The role of a senior data analyst is varied, and constantly evolving. In this role, you will:

• Create database systems and applications.
• Develop complex data analysis, methodologies, and predictive data models for assessing the business areas or industries the organisation is focused on.
• Use data findings to analyse and predict trends in the customer base and amongst the organisation’s targeted consumer population as a whole.
• Ensure regular and consistent database updates and management processes are in place to maximize information gathering and utilization.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders for research topics, refine research questions and design analytical protocols.
• Develop systems and tools for effective data management, visualization and interpretation (systems design, dashboards, information graphics, mapping, Tableau).
• Work closely with executive management and other internal stakeholders by providing technical assistance, building understanding about data usage.
• Manipulate and link different data sets using data mining, providing the business with accurate, relevant and timely data, identifying correlations and patterns, research and performance information that contributes to a culture of continuous improvement, enhanced efficiency and evidence-based decision-making for the organisation.

Qualifications & Professional Experience

• BSc.in a relevant discipline such as mathematics, statistics, computer science/ engineering or other related field. A master’s degree will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of four (4) years proven experience in a data analyst position. Experience working with major datasets in health care would be an added advantage.
• Statistical/ data analysis certifications will be an added advantage
• In depth knowledge of statistical methodologies and data analysis techniques.

Core Skills & Functional Competencies:

• Strong IT and mathematical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively share findings with stakeholders.
• Ability to pay attention to detail when working with data to make accurate conclusions and predictions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent research and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in statistical programming languages such as STATA, SPSS.
• High Proficiency in Excel, with mastery using pivot and Lookup Tables, familiarity with VBA.
• High Proficiency with Power BI, Power Query, Tableau etc.
• At least basic knowledge of programming languages will be an added advantage

General Conditions

● Remuneration: N350,000 - N425,000.00
