Job Description
  • Identify and analyze potential risks associated with the various aspects of the assets’ operations, including strategic, financial, and reputational risks.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to evaluate the likelihood and potential impact of identified risks on the companys objectives, and projects, on the asset(s).
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate or minimize identified risks. This will involve developing contingency plans, implementing risk treatments or controls, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., Certified Risk Manager - CRM, Project Management Professional - PMP, Chartered Financial Analyst - CFA) may be preferred or advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of upstream oil & gas operations, including exploration, drilling, production, reservoir management, and field development processes.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations, standards, and best practices related to health, safety, environment, and regulatory compliance (e.g., API standards, ISO 31000, OSHA regulations).
  • Familiarity with risk management software, data analytics tools, and digital technologies used for risk assessment, reporting, and decision support (e.g., enterprise risk management systems, predictive analytics, GIS software).
