The Head of Human Resources is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing all aspects of the human resources function within the company. They will develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business objectives.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of HR practices and regulations, and the ability to drive organizational change and development.

Key Result Areas

Strategic HR Leadership:

Develop and execute HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the company’s overall business objectives.

Provide strategic guidance and counsel to senior management on HR matters,

including workforce planning, talent acquisition, and organizational Development.

Performance Management:

Lead the performance management process, including goal setting, performance. reviews, and performance improvement plans.

Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on performance-related matters.

Talent Acquisition and Management:

Oversee the recruitment process,including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring top talent.

Develop and implement effective onboarding programs to ensure successful integration of new Employees.

Implement performance management systems to drive employee development and productivity.

Employee Relations and Compliance:

Serve as a trusted advisor to management on employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.

Handle employee grievances and disciplinary actions in a fair and consistent manner.

Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to maintain a positive work environment and ensure legal compliance.

Training and Development

Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities.

Implement career development initiatives to support employee growth and retention.

Foster a culture of continuous learning and development throughout the organization.

Compensation and Benefits

Oversee the design and administration of competitive compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent.

ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry standards related to compensation and benefits

HR Operations and Administration

Oversee HR administration, including payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS management

Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with data protection regulations

Monitor HR metrics and analyze data to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement

Personal Attributes:

Excellent written & oral communication /presentation skills

Excellent digital communication and social media competence.

Good professional outlook, proper grooming, dress sense / visual impact.

Passion, drive & resilience / ability to work under pressure.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Performance management

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.

Master’s degree preferred. 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 4

years in a leadership role.

Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.

Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Proven track record of driving organizational change and development.

HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.

Excellent knowledge of labour laws, employment legislation, HR systems, processes, and procedure.

In-depth knowledge of HR verticals.

Hands-on experience with HR software (HRIA, ATS).

Proven negotiation, consultation, and facilitation skill.
